GMS have just undertaken the installation of a new boiler plant and controls  for Kirklees Council. The project involved replacing the outdated 1980 boiler plant with new energy efficient 4 no  Broag Quinta 115 condensing boilers, 5 no invertor driven pump circuits, DHW calorfiers and hot water services within the boileroom. All this was achieved whilst keeping the heating on for the school through the winter period with a temporary mobile boiler plant and working around the existing heating services within the boileroom.

All works were  fully completed within the 8 weeks allocated by the client. To enable the works to be completed on time and limit the noise disruption to the classrooms above 50% of the boiler plant was pre-fabricated off  site and changovers were completed on weekends.
